Job Opportunity: Physician - General Medicine in Houston, WA
Join our dedicated team in Houston, Washington, where we are actively seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. The practice provides flexible options for coverage, including per diem at an established facility or in your own office. Our commitment extends to quick credentialing and onboarding to facilitate your integration into our vital work. You will be performing non-treatment C&P exams, focused primarily on interviews and physical assessments, with no prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compensation and Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations and physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation.
- Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of findings.
- Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed, including addendums and medical opinions.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid medical license in the state of practice.
- AANP certification required.
- DMA certification to be completed post-hire.
