A community hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, seeks a full-time AP/CP board certified or eligible pathologist to join a small hospital-based group. The role involves diagnostic pathology duties including surgical and cytology specimen sign-out, frozen section interpretation, tumor board presentations, and occasional autopsies. This Medical Center is a community hospital practice looking for a full time AP/CP board certified or board eligible pathologist to join our team. We are a 4 person, hospital based group with one PA performing approximately 21,000 specimens per year (less than 5 autopsies / year). The position offers a competitive salary plus health, life, disability, and retirement benefits.Service responsibilities include signing out surgical and cytology specimens (gyn and non-gyn), intraoperative frozen section interpretation, presentation at tumor board, an occasional autopsy, and call coverage.Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree with eligibility for medical licensure in the state of West Virginia. Experience preferred, but not required; diagnostic training in gynecologic pathology is a plus.This is a 189-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in the center of Morgantown, recently completed a $92M renovation and expansion.
