Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
- JD from a reputable law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Licensed to practice in California (and/or Arizona).
- Discovery and Law and Motion experience.
- Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
- State and Federal court experience.
Litigation Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in aviation, products liability, and automotive warranty.
- Superior writing and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations as required.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis, drafting memoranda as needed.
- Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
- Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
- Manage all aspects of litigation from initial pleadings through trial.
