Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice nurses who develop and implement anesthesia plans, manage patients' airway and respiratory status, and monitor patient vital signs throughout medical procedures. They prepare operating rooms, set up necessary equipment, and ensure patient safety in various healthcare settings such as operating rooms and critical care units. CRNAs also stay current with medical advances and document patient care thoroughly to support positive patient outcomes.
We are currently searching for a talented and detail-oriented Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our medical practice in Chicago, IL. You will work in various medical environments, including critical care floors, operating rooms, labor and delivery units, and pain management clinics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan.
- Manage the patient's airway and respiratory status.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after a medical procedure.
- Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
- Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in the patient records.
- Request and assess diagnostic tests.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a CRNA required.
- Active Illinois State Registered Nurse (RN) license and CRNA certification.
