The position is for a board-certified or board-eligible advanced heart failure cardiologist specializing in acute decompensated heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and advanced therapies including transplant and mechanical support. The role involves collaboration with a specialized team at a tertiary referral center handling complex cardiac surgical cases and providing general cardiology coverage. Advanced heart failure cardiologist position (board certified/board eligible).
Manage acute decompensated heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and evaluate candidates for advanced therapies (mechanical support, transplant).
General cardiology coverage included.
Collaborate with a highly specialized advanced heart failure team; approx. 25% of clinical work at a top tertiary referral facility for high-acuity transplant and LVAD patients.
Surgical program performs 500+ open-heart cases/year, 100+ TAVRs, ECMO, and thoracic procedures; dedicated cardiovascular ICU and medical floors.
