Job Overview
An acute care hospital in Pagosa Springs, Colorado is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN Manager for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a strong perioperative leader who can oversee daily OR operations while remaining clinically engaged in a smaller hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the operating room
- Coordinate OR staffing, schedules, and daily workflow
- Provide hands-on clinical support and circulate as needed
- Ensure compliance with AORN standards and hospital policies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
- Support staff oversight, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- Significant Operating Room experience required
- Prior OR leadership or management experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification required (additional certifications may be required)
- Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and regulatory standards
- Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, small acute care environment
