Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced Emergency Room RN with two or more years of recent large hospital ER experience and required certifications for a 13-week night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 23-bed Emergency Department in a large hospital setting
- Provides care to a diverse emergency patient population
- 36/48 hour weekly rotation with night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Bi-weekly orientation provided unless otherwise noted
- No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- Reliable transportation is required due to limited ride share options in the area
- Responsible for assessing, triaging, and providing care to emergency patients in a fast-paced environment
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly unless otherwise noted
- Travel pairs are not allowed unless there are multiple needs on the unit
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of current emergency room experience in a large hospital
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC, PALS, CPI
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to provide two professional references
- Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
