Join Our Team as a Heavy Equipment / Yellow Iron Mechanic!
📍 Location: Heart of Florida Landfill – Lake Panasoffkee, FL
🕡 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Saturdays as needed
đź’° Pay:$35-$45 hour DOE
What You’ll Do:
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Work with a fleet of yellow iron equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
- Operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers. (Compactor experience is a plus!)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and yellow iron equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate technical service information.
- CDL preferred (but not required at time of hire).
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
