Contract ASAP start date through 6/30/26. Nights Monday-Thursday. No call. Flexible schedule if needed. An exciting opportunity for an advanced practice clinician (APC) to work in an autonomous role collaboratively with private practice critical care trained intensivists in a high acuity community hospital setting.
The advanced practitioner will work collaboratively with the intensivist and all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to provide care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. The hospital served by the practice is a community hospital without teaching services and as such, the critical care team is led by the intensivist/APC. Therefore, a great opportunity for autonomy is available and encouraged with physician oversight and availability.
Core responsibilities include:
• Daily multidisciplinary rounding;
• Performing history and physicals/daily progress note documentation;
• Ventilator management;
• Clinical response to change in patient condition;
• Family discussions and meetings;
• Bedside procedures to include central line/hemodialysis catheter insertion and arterial lines; and
• Opportunities to serve on various hospital committees and participate in quality improvement projects including data acquisition and analysis, as needed.
