Interventional Radiologists perform minimally invasive image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and line placements to diagnose and treat medical conditions. They manage routine radiology imaging including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to support patient care. The role involves handling 8-10 procedures daily using medical record and imaging systems like Meditech, Intelerad, and Fluency.
Light Interventional Procedures: Perform non-complex procedures such as:
o Image-guided biopsies
o Drainages
o PICC line placements
o Paracentesis and thoracentesis (fluid removal from the abdomen and chest)
Volume: 8-10 procedures/day
General Radiology: Handle routine imaging needs including X-rays, CTs, and MRIs.
