This role is for a Neurology Physician to serve as Program Director for a new Neurology Residency program in Southern California, initially leading the ACGME accreditation process remotely. The position requires at least three years of recent leadership and clinical experience in neurology graduate medical education, transitioning later to a part-time director and clinical practice role in Temecula. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, educational, and clinical skills along with a scholarly background.
- Program Director for a new Neurology Residency
- Phase 1: Lead the ACGME application process and site visits, which can be performed remotely through a consulting agreement. Approximately 40 work hours per month.
- Phase 2:Once program is approved and nearer to start, candidate would relocate to the Temecula area and position would transition to .4 FTE as PD, with the remainder in clinical practice, in either outpatient or inpatient practice depending on candidates interest and training.
-REQUIRED: 3+ years of current or very recent PD, APD, or Core faculty experience in an accredited neurology GME program. Also require demonstrated ability as a leader, educator, and clinician as well as recent history of scholarly activities.
