American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer with ARDMS, BLS, and cardiac/vascular certification for an acute care, Level 3 trauma setting.
Responsibilities- Position is based in an acute care hospital on the ultrasound unit
- Level 3 trauma environment
- Evening shift from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM with weekend call rotation
- 13-week assignment
- Procedures performed include abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, and vascular imaging, with potential for cardiac studies
- Use of EpicCare Inpatient EMR system
- Required to float within the assigned zone as needed
- Provide high quality imaging and patient care within the medical imaging department
- Maintain sensitivity to patient needs and assist with varied imaging studies as required
- Team support provided by the ultrasound unit and clinical leadership
- Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified; confirm before onboarding
- All clinicians must be present in state for in-person orientation week, even if first day modules are remote
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Employees previously employed by associated facility partners in the past year are not eligible
- Must be willing to float within the designated float radius zone
- Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience required
- Current ARDMS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS required
- Must be able to start IVs and have experience with contrast
- Experience using Epic EMR preferred
- Active state or compact licensure required if applicable; pending licenses and certifications not accepted
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
- Two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
