Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Travel Nursing Job in Columbus, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio travel nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant (Mixed Acuity PCU and MS Unit)
• Contract Length: 13-16 weeks
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00); D/N rotating & night shift options available
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Unit: 14 East, 14 West, 15 West (Bone Marrow Transplant)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Oncology RN experience (Hematology-Oncology experience strongly preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal nursing leadership role)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology and bone marrow transplant patients with hematologic disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral IV lines, and provide feeding tube care
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias
• Assist with specialized procedures such as autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T cell therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety at all times
• Accurately document all patient care using Epic EMR
