The Internal Medicine Physician performs Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily for veterans, working either remotely or at designated Veterans Evaluation Services facilities. This locum tenens role requires board certification, a California medical license, and proficiency in clinical evaluations and documentation. Candidates collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and compliance while serving veteran populations on a flexible PRN schedule.

This locum position requires General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Work in your own office or a designated Veterans Evaluation Services facility while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have served our country.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation efficiently, including reports and addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis with the option to work half days (4-hours) or full days (8-hours).
- Collaborate with a team focused on veteran care.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance and training requirements.
- Board Certified in a relevant specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine with Compensation and Pension experience).
- Active and unrestricted medical license from California.
- Ability to conduct METs testing and evaluate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Proficient with a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve certification.
- Current California medical license.
- Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
- DMA certification preferred, with completion of training required.
