NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established urgent care clinic in Lee s Summit, Missouri. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment while working with a supportive clinical and operational team.

Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients in accordance with clinical best practices
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare s mission and values
Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
Code and bill appropriately for services rendered
Maintain clinical productivity consistent with urgent care standards
Deliver care in a legal, ethical, and professional manner
Follow up on patient care as clinically indicated
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Missouri Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
Active DEA
PA: NCCPA certification
NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)
Ability to treat all age groups, infant through geriatric
Bachelor s degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master s degree in Nursing
Active BLS certification
EHR proficiency
Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in urgent care, emergency department fast-track, or walk-in clinic
Suturing and wound care experience
Initial x-ray interpretation experience prior to radiology over-read
