Position Overview:

• Title: Neonatologist (Full-Time)

• Location: Topeka, KS

• Practice Size: 5 Neonatologists

• Shift Model:

  • Mix of 8- and 24-hour in-house shifts

  • 170 hours/month (1.0 FTE)

  • In-house call with backup from home

Clinical Environment:

• NICU Level: Level III

• Beds: 36-bed unit

• Avg. Daily Census: 26

• Avg. Length of Stay: 19 days

• Annual Admissions: 500

• Advanced Services:

  • High-frequency ventilation

  • Inhaled nitric oxide

  • Whole-body therapeutic cooling

  • aEEG

• Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, Endocrinology

• Joint Commission Certified in the care of premature infants since 2012

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• Fellowship-trained in Neonatology Completed prior to start

• Kansas License Or willing to obtain

• DEA license Must be obtained prior to start

• Clean malpractice and license history Highly Preferred
