Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PACU RN with previous experience to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a high-pressure environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, the capability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively, and the ability to recognize safety issues and implement appropriate measures.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Implement safe practices in patient handling using lifts and other equipment.
• Function well under stress and apply problem-solving skills.
• Provide quality patient care in a PACU setting.
• Assume duties as a charge nurse when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• Previous PACU experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills are necessary.
