Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and significant prior perm experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Adult medical-surgical patient population with telemetry monitoring
- Uses Qualivis – Lotus system for timekeeping
- Responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and providing high-quality care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Assignments at facility locations may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a minimum six month wait before a new assignment at the same health system
- Will be required to provide proof of driver’s license and social security number
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel
- Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score
- At least one recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge RN in Med/Surg Telemetry required
