Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3-5 on 26-bed unit
• Must complete 20-hour module training prior to working (up to 6 hours billable)
• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor depending on needs
• Must have 3 years of Medical/Surgical-Telemetry experience required
• PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
• LTAC experience beneficial
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to manage drips, read and interpret telemetry strips
• Ability to titrate drips including insulin, amiodarone, and levophed
• Must maintain intubation capabilities preferred
• Work with Medical/Surgical/PCU patients depending on competency
• May work in PCU within department based on skills
• Must be able to read Mindray cardiac monitors
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Charting system: TruBridge - Evident
• BSN not required
• Charge nurse takes lesser patient assignment, travelers typically not asked to charge

The facility features a 24/7 respiratory therapy department, in-house support services, and specializes in medical, surgical, and progressive care unit services without an ICU component, transferring higher acuity patients to appropriate level facilities when needed.
