A full-time Anesthesiology Physician opportunity at a community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia, working alongside a team of board-certified anesthesiologists and CRNAs. The role involves general anesthesia cases excluding cardiac and neurosurgery, with a Monday through Friday schedule, rotating call, and competitive salary. Anesthesiology Practice Opportunity at community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia with a thriving physician group
- Southwestern Georgia Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join their team with additional support from four board-certified anesthesiologists, CRNA s, and AA s.
- Cases: They do not perform cardiac or neurosurgery cases. Bread and Butter general anesthesia cases performed (nerve blocks, A-lines, epidurals, etc.).
- Salary: Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday; Start at 6:30AM and have a rotate off schedule as cases/rooms close; end around 3-4pm each day; typical 40 hour work weeks
- Call: 1-in-8 call rotating on/off schedule Monday through Friday; no weekend call required; home call is allowed.
- Hospital Facilities: 24/7 access to physicians lounge with meals provided; a 24-hour all-access employee fitness center; and a state-of-the-art Medical Education Center with simulation rooms, a conference center, and more.
- Expected Patient Volume: 40-50 cases per day; bread and butter general anesthesiology cases do not perform cardiac or neurosurgery cases; maximum of 10 operative sites which includes 2 endoscopy suites and 2 obstetric rooms
- Technology: In the last 6 months they have purchased all new anesthesia Mindray machines, including new ultrasounds. Additionally, they have a Glideslope for emergency airways and Belmont for rapid infusers.
