Expertise in medical retina is desirable. Candidates with an interest in resident education and residency program development are encouraged to apply.
The hiring organization serves as a major tertiary referral center for Eastern North Carolina, caring for a high volume of patients with complex ophthalmic conditions. The ophthalmology program is actively recruiting across all subspecialties to support a growing multi-specialty practice. A new ACGME-approved Ophthalmology residency will welcome its inaugural class in 2026. The center benefits from a strong hospital-based referral network and robust community referrals in a region with limited subspecialty coverage.
US residency/fellowship training required.
