Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Unit: Telemetry (34 beds, average daily census: 27)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1590 - $1710
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue (not provided)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Successful completion of Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Strong skills in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Ability to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed
• Two supervisor references required
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred
• First time travel nurses are encouraged to apply!

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms for adult and geriatric patients
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias; respond promptly to cardiac emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
• Utilize safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every patient room
• Provide nursing care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, MI, Atrial Fibrillation, Stroke/TIA, Sepsis, COPD, Diabetes, and more
• Accurately document all nursing care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Complete required orientation and training modules prior to start date
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and facility policies, including vaccination requirements
