We are seeking a highly skilled Neurocritical Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Delaware. This 78-day assignment begins 02/01/2026 and requires 13-15 shifts per month, typically split between day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of neurological emergencies, including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, and spinal cord injuries. Responsibilities include providing 24/7 critical care coverage, performing procedures such as ICP monitor placement and management, and working with the Cerner EMR system. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide 24/7 critical care coverage for patients with severe neurological and neurosurgical conditions
Manage acute ischemic stroke cases, including post-thrombectomy care
Treat intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
Care for patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injuries
Manage status epilepticus cases
Perform procedures including ICP monitor placement and management
Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Stay current with the latest advancements in neurocritical care
Additional Information:
Must be licensed in Delaware
Comfortable with high-acuity neurological emergencies
Strong communication and teamwork skills required
