Position Details:- Dates: February 21 March 3, 2025.
- Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours with call responsibilities.
- Practice Setting: Outpatient, with hospital privileges required.
- Support Staff: Includes 3 physician assistants and office staff.
- EMR Systems: Athena for outpatient, Centricity at the hospital.
- Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 60-90 days.
Responsibilities:- Outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week (approximately 35 appointments).
- Rounding in the hospital, averaging 15 patients daily (2-4 hours).
- Call coverage with 0-2 callbacks per 24-hour shift and less than 10 calls overall.
- Performing a variety of procedures, including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
- Valvular repairs and replacements (AVR, MVR).
- Thoracic procedures such as lung resections.
- Vascular surgeries (optional but preferred), including aortic dissection repair and carotid endarterectomy.
Qualifications:- License: Active Tennessee medical license required.
- Board Certification: Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (fellowship preferred).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
