A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for independently administering anesthesia and supportive treatments to patients undergoing a wide variety of surgeries, including orthopedic, general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, eye, dental, and podiatry procedures. The role requires solo practice capabilities with 24/7 on-call coverage in a rural Level 3 trauma hospital setting. Required certifications include nursing licensure, AANA credentialing, and various life support and trauma courses with no MD onsite for backup.
Cred Timeframe: 30-60 days but Temp privileges will be granted.
START- ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
Duration- September 2025
Case Mix- Ortho (total, scopes, fractures); General Surgery (lap cholecystectomy, hernia, mastectomy, catheters, I&D, thyroids, endoscopy); ENT (tonsils; OB (c-sections, epidurals); GYN (hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, BTL); Eyes (cataracts); Dental/OMFS (peds, facial fractures); Podiatry (fractures, bunionectomy)
Shall be responsible for administering all types of anesthesia agents and supportive treatments of patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures.
The Provider shall be capable of taking call to cover the OR and OB 24/7 without backup.
License - Required
DEA not required
per day: average of 20 if 4 OR's running each day
AANA
BLS through AHA
ACLS through AHA
ATLS within 1 year of hire date must be obtained
Level 3 Trauma (rural hospital)
No MD onsite, solo independent CRNA practice
OR open for urgent and emergent cases (no elective surgeries on weekends)
5 OR's
