Our client, an industry leader in electrical components manufacturing, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting inspection and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Technician 

Location: Fort Payne, AL

Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.11/hour

Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 pm – 5:30 am (weekend night)

What's the Job?

  • Perform inspection services both in-process and at final to drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures within the Fort Payne Siemens Energy Electrical Components Plant.
  • Apply nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques such as Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
  • Prepare detailed documentation of inspection findings and results using electronic systems.
  • Maintain Level II certification in at least PT or VT, with experience in Boroscoping, UT, and PAUT preferred.
  • Travel occasionally as required to support inspection activities.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 2 years of NDE experience.
  • Level II certification in at least PT or VT, with certification documentation available.
  • Experience with gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the metric system for measurement.
