Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing and reporting any irregularities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public as required by the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or unusual situations at all times while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 6 months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
