The position is for an Interventional Radiologist locum tenens in Illinois, working three days per week on weekdays with no on-call responsibilities. The role involves performing image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, catheter placements, and joint injections, supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Interventional Radiology, hold an active Illinois medical license, and have clean malpractice history preferred.
Coverage Details
Weekdays only; Monday - Friday; 3 days per week (flexible on which days)
8 AM - 5 PM
No call
Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
Active Illinois License or IMLC

Clean Malpractice History - Highly Preferred
Procedures Required
Image-guided biopsies and drainages
Tunneled line placements
Lumbar punctures (LPs) and Myelograms
Dialysis catheter placements
Ureteral stents
Power ports
Thoracentesis and Paracentesis
Arthrograms and joint aspirations/injections
Assignment Details
Mix of inpatient and scheduled outpatients; Average 4-8 cases daily
Number of Physicians/APPs in Department: 5
Support Staff: Technologists and RNs
Patient Population Mix: Primarily adults
Number of beds: 222
Trauma Level: 2
