We have an immediate need for a Gastroenterologist to cover specific dates in June and December near McCLUSKY, ND. This locum tenens position offers a unique chance to contribute to a hospital's GI service and maintain proficiency in key procedures. Job Overview: Dates of Coverage: June and December (Specific Dates) Details: 24-hour call with in-house hospital rounding for 8 hours (procedures and rounding) Rounding time is flexible and dependent on the consultative service's patient load No other Gastroenterologist will be present during the locum's assignment Locum will not be supervising other healthcare providers EMR: Epic Practice Type: Hospital and Call Coverage Only (No Clinic) Additional Questions: ERCP Volumes: One to two per week (key for maintaining proficiency) General/Other Procedure Volumes: Vary, with approximately one to two scopes per day NP Support: No NP support Locum Status: Solo, no clinic Support Staff: RNs and CRNAs in the endoscopy room (hospital call only) Required Procedures: Colonoscopy Biopsy Polypectomy Proctoscopy / Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Hemorrhoidal Banding Upper GI Endoscopy PEG Esophageal Variceal Banding Banding Lesions - Management of acute GI bleed Dilation Preferred Procedures: ERCP (Highly Preferred) Management of Hospitalized GI Patients Qualifications: Board Certification: Gastroenterology (Required) State License: North Dakota (Active and Required, or IMLC with LOQ) DEA Certification: Active and Required Case Logs: Will be requested for review at presentation and offer (Required) Malpractice/Background: Clean records highly preferred ERCP Certification: Highly Preferred CHI/Dignity Facility Experience: Disclosure required if applicable COVID Vaccine: Required (Note at the time of name clear) Certification Requirements: BLS Board Certified DEA State License Requirements: North Dakota This locum tenens opportunity near McCLUSKY, ND, provides a chance to make a meaningful impact on the hospital's GI services.
