Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in a 10-bed emergency department, treating approximately 30-40 patients per day. Perform thorough patient evaluations, diagnose a wide range of medical emergencies and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans. Utilize your clinical judgment and expertise to stabilize critical patients and ensure timely intervention. Participate in procedures such as suturing, laceration repair, and other emergency medical procedures. Collaborate effectively with nurses, advanced practice providers (NPs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage inpatients' codes when necessary. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Mississippi (MS) medical license is required. Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with experience in emergency medicine is preferred. Board eligibility in Emergency Medicine will be considered for qualified candidates. Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in emergency medicine.
