Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift assignment requiring at least 3 years of experience and a NM or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule, shift times 18:30 to 07:00
- Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Required to float to like units as needed based on facility needs
- Care for stroke and surgery patients in a monitored environment
- Telemetry central monitoring tech available 24/7
- Weekends as needed
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers
- Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit and will complete required onsite modules during orientation
- RTO must be requested at time of application; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto approved and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
- No specific scrub color is required, but scrubs must have no logos
- No travel pairs or groups allowed
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Locals within a 50 mile radius are not accepted
- Former perm staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
