Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications and experience rotating through all perinatal stages.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Responsibilities include rotating through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition areas (no post-partum)
• Works night shifts with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:00)
• Patient charting is performed in Cerner, and prior experience is preferred
• Expected to work at least one holiday during the assignment (eve and day)
• Will not be assigned to postpartum responsibilities
• Assignment length is 16 weeks with consideration for a minimum of 13 weeks
• RTO (time off) requests must be submitted with application

Requirements

• Active TX or compact state RN license required by start date
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Drug screen including Amphetamine, Barbiturate, Benzodiazepine, Cocaine, Meth, Methadone, Opiates, Oxycodone, PCP, Marijuana, and Buprenorphine required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
