Our job summary

The position seeks a qualified Endocrinologist to join a hospital faculty in Tennessee, combining clinical practice, teaching, and research responsibilities. The role involves outpatient and inpatient endocrinology care, participation in multidisciplinary teams, and contribution to academic activities including lecturing and service on committees. Candidates must hold an MD, completed an endocrinology fellowship, and be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology.

Client is seekinga qualified Endocrinologist to join its faculty. This position will include a faculty appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor with responsibilities related to demonstrating excellence in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarly activities. Candidates should be focused on high quality patient care, interested in building a robust clinical practice, and have the flexibility to work in various clinical and hospital settings. Previous clinical experience and academic experience is preferred. Job Duties: Clinical responsibilities will include working in our outpatient endocrinology practice within the outpatient clinic at the hospital, the ambulatory care center on campus or at an outpatient clinic operated by the medical group that is separate from the main campus. Perform inpatient endocrinology consultations at the hospital. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management and utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows. Teach internal medicine residents and medical students within the clinic and participate in educational conferences as time permits. Also, lecture and teach internal medicine residents and medical students in small group active learning sessions. Service responsibilities will include serving in medical school and/or hospital committees as determined by the Department Chair and Chief of Endocrinology for the Department of Internal Medicine. Participate in research in collaboration with clinical and basic science research faculty at Meharry Medical College Required Skills Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine degree along with an unrestrictive license to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Endocrinology Fellowship Program. Successful completion of all requirements for Certification by American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology within 3 years of completing your Fellowship. BLS and ACLS certification.
