Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare opportunity)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 13, 2024 – November 12, 2024)
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry – 4 South Unit
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts per week (night shifts also available)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130 per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2 position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry nursing role
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare setting

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and ongoing care
• Accurately document all patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
