RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• 13 or 26-week assignment length available
• Minimum 2-3 years ICU experience required
• Must have strong critical thinking skills
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• MICU & MSICU background preferred
• IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Float requirements apply - must be willing to float to other units
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Must badge in and out for shifts and take full 30-minute lunch break
• Clock in time: 6:38 AM/PM (after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy)
• Hair should be neat and clean, tattoos covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
