Job Description
The Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring. The RN will work within a float pool environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to MedSurg and Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Perform patient assessments and document care accurately
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Float to assigned units as needed based on staffing requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing
- Recent MedSurg and Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification required (additional certifications preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Additional Information
- No on-call required
- Floating is required as part of the nursing float pool
- Schedule requests and time-off must be submitted in advance
