The Emergency Medicine Physician role involves providing urgent medical care at a main hospital and affiliated sites with flexibility for varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Candidates must have relevant board certification, an active Florida medical license, and maintain an in-state DEA for prescribing privileges. Additional requirements include up-to-date vaccinations and specific advanced life support certifications.
Coverage Needed:
- June 1 - Ongoing
- Must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends
Clinical Information:
- Preference is for locum providers to be open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated FSER's
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years
- Will accept ABIM, AOBIM, ABFM, and AOBFP with a minimum of 2 years experience in EM.
- Active FL License
- ATLS, ACLS, PAL
