A board-certified Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgeon is needed on a locum tenens basis to provide inpatient critical care and trauma coverage at a Level I Trauma Center. The role includes managing trauma ICU, performing emergency surgeries, and supervising residents and advanced practice providers. This high-acuity position requires weekday clinical coverage along with weekday and weekend on-call duties at a major academic hospital.

This high-acuity position supports a busy Level I trauma service with resident and APP support and includes weekday clinical coverage with weekday and weekend call.
Pay Ranking: This assignment offers Top 10-15% locum pay for Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery roles nationally, with typical locum ranges for this specialty between $281-$305/hr based on recent data.

Full multidisciplinary trauma team
Inpatient surgical critical care coverage
Manage trauma ICU and activations
Evaluate trauma/EGS consults
Provide emergency operative intervention
Supervise and collaborate with residents and APPs
