Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Pendleton Oregon (OR). Starting in December 2025, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- OB/GYNs to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
- OB/GYNs Needed for First Assist: Yes
- Backup Available to the MHAS Physicians: Yes; ED & other OBs available.
- Provide clinic and L&D support to ensure consistent high-quality care.
- Expand access to care for women in the community.
- MHAS Providers in clinic M-F, 8a-5p, and on-call after hours.
- Only on call Saturday and Sunday.
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 33-34
- Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.): 400
- Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (monthly avg.): 10-11
- Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (annual avg.): 130
- Nursery - Level 1
- Anesthesia: On-Call 24/7
- MFM: tele with Portland
- Fetal Monitoring System: GE
Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- OR state license; active, unrestricted
- Board certified OBGYN
- OR State DEA
- BLS, ACLS
- 100 deliveries in past 24 months
- 25 GYN Cases in the last 12 months
