Seeking a licensed Internal Medicine Physician to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily through interviews and some physical evaluations in Houston, TX. The role involves submitting detailed medical reports and ensuring strict adherence to protocols while working on a flexible, PRN basis. Candidates must have experience in General or Internal Medicine, relevant certifications, and the ability to work independently in a Veterans-focused healthcare environment.
We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, TX. This facility is dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans through thorough and compassionate care.
As a key part of a well-respected organization, you will have the opportunity to provide critical assessments while working either in a VES facility or your own office, depending on your location and availability.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Submit reports and any necessary addendums in a timely manner.
- Work on a PRN basis, with options for half or full-day shifts.
- Ensure compliance with all related protocols and documentation standards.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery.
- Must possess a strong understanding of Compensation and Pension evaluations.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying patient needs.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license.
- AANP Certification required.
- Willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
