Position Overview
Brattleboro Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated, full-time Family Medicine Physician to join our outpatient clinic team in Brattleboro, VT, starting Fall 2025. This position offers a supportive work environment, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to diverse populations, including adults and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care services in family medicine, managing both adult and pediatric patients.
- Maintain an average daily patient volume of approximately 14, ensuring quality care within a manageable workload.
- Perform clinical duties, including thorough patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
- Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently through electronic medical records.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in administrative and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and practice efficiency.
- Join the on-call phone rotation (1:11) to provide after-hours support to patients.
- Stay current with licensing, certification, and continuing medical education (CME) requirements to maintain clinical proficiency and compliance.
- Contribute to the long-term stability and growth of the practice through succession planning and team engagement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Valid DEA registration.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to obtain a VT medical license prior to start date.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to start by Fall 2025.
- Candidates residing within a one-hour commute are preferred.
- This position is full-time and not suitable for candidates planning to combine this role with other employment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Guaranteed base salary of $230,000, with potential to earn an additional $20,000 annually through quality bonuses.
- Student Loan Repayment: Up to $10,000 per year in matching funds, along with a negotiable sign-on bonus to support your transition.
