The Speech Pathologist PRN plans and implements individualized and group treatment programs for patients with speech and language disorders. They provide professional therapy services while collaborating with healthcare team members and managing necessary documentation. Licensure is required to practice, with duties also including administrative and educational tasks as assigned.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, develops and implements professionally competent individual and group treatment programs for both inpatients and outpatients. Assists with managerial, administrative and educational duties as assigned by supervisor. Provides efficient and timely professional Speech Pathology programming and appropriate documentation on all patients assigned. Communicates effectively with health care team members to facilitate maximum patient benefit.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist as issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. New graduates may qualify with a Speech and Language Pathologist Intern license, pending full licensure in accordance with ASHA and Texas State Board of Examiner requirements.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist as issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
