The Respiratory Unit at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) is a specialized department dedicated to providing exceptional respiratory care to pediatric patients. Located in Norfolk, Virginia, CHKD’s Respiratory Unit is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by a team of highly trained respiratory therapists, nurses, and physicians who are experts in pediatric respiratory care. This unit caters to a wide range of respiratory conditions, from chronic lung diseases to acute respiratory emergencies. The team is skilled in managing ventilated patients across various settings, including the Emergency Department (ED), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and general pediatric care.
