The position is for a Board Certified Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist responsible for managing radiation oncology quality assurance and safety programs at a cancer treatment center. The role involves maintaining and operating advanced radiation therapy equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with clinical staff, and overseeing dosimetry functions. The candidate must have a Master’s degree in a related field, board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics, and relevant state certification with at least three years of experience.

Board Certified - Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist
Job Details:
• Full-time position (40 hours/week) with flexible schedule: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00am-4:30pm• Maintain and execute the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Program• Implement, manage, and maintain all medical physics QA equipment• Coordinate with alternate physicists to ensure full clinic coverage• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to ensure safe treatments• Administer and oversee all physics-related software systems• Perform daily, monthly, and annual QA testing on linear accelerators and equipment• Oversee dosimetry operations, including plan reviews and quality assurance• Perform dosimetry functions in the absence of the dosimetrist• Be present for all HyperArc, SBRT, SRS, SRT, and other high-dose treatments• Commission and maintain HyperArc and stereotactic systems• Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation• Manage physics testing, credentialing, and RTOG protocol participation• Master of Science degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics, or related field REQUIRED• Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics REQUIRED• Minimum of 3+ years experience REQUIRED• Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) certification through the state of Ohio REQUIRED
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
