A Neonatology Physician provides specialized care for newborns requiring Level II NICU support in a hospital setting, managing high-risk deliveries and well-baby nursery coverage. They collaborate with nursing and allied health teams to ensure neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. This full-time role includes in-house daytime coverage and home call overnight in a community-based hospital in Cartersville, Georgia.

Setting: Hospital-based Level II NICU
Schedule: In-house daytime coverage + home call overnight
As a Neonatologist in this Level II NICU, you'll play a key role in newborn care and delivery support in a collaborative, community-based setting:
Manage newborns requiring Level II NICU care
Attend high-risk and C-section deliveries
Provide well-baby nursery coverage (12-bed unit) when pediatricians are unavailable
Participate in daytime rounds and take overnight call from home
Support neonatal resuscitation and stabilization efforts
Collaborate with dedicated nursing and allied health teams
Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
