This position involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans across multiple North Carolina locations. The role requires board certification in general medicine or related specialties, conducting primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, and no prescribing or treatment responsibilities. Flexible scheduling and minimal administrative duties are offered in a non-treatment environment supporting Veterans' healthcare evaluations.

Opportunity:
Board Certified - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Work from provider's own office location in various North Carolina locations including Kill Devil Hills, Murphy, Roanoke Rapids, Ruffin, Henderson, New Bern, and Elizabeth City• Flexible schedule with options to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours)• Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing• No prescribing or treatment required• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Specialties accepted: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or background in general medicine• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Must have active and unrestricted full license• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Provider must have their own office within the specified mile radius of chosen location(s)• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)• Not available to providers who are active military duty, in reserves, or actively employed at the VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
