Locum Tenens: General Surgeon (Near Natural Dam, AR)

Are you a dedicated and experienced General Surgeon seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a vibrant community near Natural Dam, AR? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide essential general surgical care on a call-only basis (ASAP - Ongoing).

This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment with the possibility of extending into a longer-term role. You'll enjoy a predictable call schedule, allowing you to manage your workload effectively while contributing to exceptional patient care during your time with us.

What We Offer:

• Rewarding & Specialized Practice: Utilize your expertise in general surgery to manage a range of patient needs, encompassing admissions, consultations, operating room procedures (excluding scopes), and postoperative care in a supportive inpatient setting (hospital bed count and typical patient volume not available). Our facility is stroke certified, ensuring access to advanced stroke care for patients.
• Work-Life Balance with Predictable Call Schedule: Enjoy a predictable call schedule with night shifts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 am, covering a defined period from July 22nd to July 28th. This allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance outside of call hours.
• Supportive Team Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, surgical technicians, and other specialists, to deliver comprehensive care for your patients.
• Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the user-friendly Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication.
• Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and are happy to assist with facilitating temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 30 days).

Qualifications:

• Board-eligible or board-certified in General Surgery is required. Fellowship training is not required for this specific opportunity.
• Active medical license in Arkansas (AR) only is mandatory.
• Current certification in ATLS is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a general surgery setting is preferred.
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
