The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a high-acuity Level I trauma center. This role emphasizes rapid response to acute illness and trauma, patient and family education, and collaboration within an interprofessional healthcare team. It requires nursing licensure and promotes safety, quality care, and ongoing professional development.
As an adult level 1 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and comprehensive cardiac center, we provide cutting edge emergency care for the St Louis region.

• total of 80 beds
• We have 6 separate care areas, including trauma/critical care and a dedicated behavioral health unit, allowing us to care for a wide variety of patients.
