Job Details:
• Work in an adaptive acuity unit with 1:5 nurse to patient ratio on a 25-bed unit
• Occasionally provide PCU care with 3:1 ratio when required (non-negotiable)
• Charge nurse responsibilities required for this position
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as required
• Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
• 2+ years of current med surg/tele experience required
• Charge experience required
• PCU experience strongly required
• Drip experience required
• ICU experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 3 months previous travel experience required (non-negotiable)
• Small critical access facility experience preferred
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Vermont nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within past two years required

This small critical access healthcare facility provides comprehensive inpatient medical services with an adaptive acuity unit that can flex between medical surgical and progressive care unit levels. The facility maintains a 25-bed unit and emphasizes the importance of experienced nurses who can handle varying levels of patient acuity and take on charge responsibilities to ensure quality patient care.
