The Registered Nurse – Operating Room provides perioperative nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. The OR RN is responsible for maintaining a safe surgical environment, assisting the surgical team, and delivering high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgery. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to function as core staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical suites
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to safety protocols
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures
- Float to other units or sister campuses as needed
- ENT

- Call required (averages approximately 4 call shifts per month)
- Call types may include evening, overnight, or backup call
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Pediatric experience required
- BLS required
- CNOR preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
- Degree accreditation must be listed on profile or minimum of 5 years of experience
- Floating required (travelers are first to float)
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff
- All schedule requests and RTO must be submitted upfront
- Strong emphasis on teamwork and unit culture
